"Parents Helping Parents (PHP) is a leader in high-quality, evidence-based, and trauma-informed emotional support services for parents in Massachusetts. (PHP) has collaborated with the Matty Eappen Foundation for over 17 years. Our shared mission is to be a protective factor in the fight against child abuse and neglect. We are grateful for the financial support we have received to fund our Parent Support Services. Parents Helping Parents provides parental support services through our helpline, the Parent Stress Line, and Support Groups. It is because of the generosity of the Matty Eappen Foundation our services are free, anonymous, confidential, and accessible."

"The Matty Eappen Foundation helped me with the funding of the last course needed to complete a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Kent State University. I loved the strategic planning course that I took, and I feel like it will really help me advance in my current role and overall career. Further, the Foundation’s funding eased the financial burden that I would’ve otherwise had to work through, given unexpected medical bills and specialist visits over the last year or so."

"In November 2020, Debbie Eappen contacted REACH Beyond Domestic Violence to inquire about how the Matty Eappen Foundation might help us with our work. We talked about the congruence between their efforts to treat and eliminate shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma and REACH’s work to recognize and remedy the trauma experienced by children in abusive households. In both cases, the youngest, most vulnerable members of our society are dreadfully impacted by emotions and events over which they have no control.
Since then, MEF has been an enthusiastic supporter of REACH’s child and adolescent therapy program. The partnership has helped sustain individual and group therapy for scores of children, advancing their understanding of the effect that trauma has on their bodies and minds. Perhaps even more importantly, these sessions assure the youngsters that they are not alone in their pain and confusion. With MEF’s help, young survivors grow to understand themselves and their situation, and they learn that healthy relationships are possible."
